Lets be clear: OBama is the Kennedy democrats lap dog. The New York Times is the political arm of the kennedy democrats. If the times says "A" then the times says "A" theN OBama just said "A". So, the times words are on the behest of the Obama campaign.

So, If the Times affair story is a campaign platform of the Obama campaign.
