Everybody see's it..............but?

Everybody knows that we can not and will not be able to sustain the governments spending. The news media says we...notice I did not say..we....because we(Americans) do not want it.
So, I ask what does the government(federal government) do to benefit us.
The question is how often does the government touch you on a daily basis. When I say touch...I mean makes your life better.
But first lets say what is not covered:
School...state program
Police Force...city and state progam
Driving....state program
Utilities....City
Unemployment insurance.....no its state...although occasional the congress will give the state money when it becomes politically hot for them not to do it.
Organizing, developing codes, and daily governmental matters like sewer lines, not letting porn houses opening up next to a grade school...etc. its state..and city

So, what does our government(federal) do for us, other than the oppressive type of organizations like the Irs, epa, etc. Well SS but its been mismanaged and is disfunctional, Post office which is mismanaged and barely servicable, The military...which thank god is not mismanaged....The courts..like appeals and supreme court...which is at war with its people...evidenced by its Eminent Domain ruling that is directly contary to the constitution of a few years ago.

I put SS and Senior Health Care in that category, despite being chronically mismanaged for every day of my lifetime, even thou it does not touch me daily. The military.

The point is not that the government should disapear...no we need the government.

But lets be honest! We could cut the federal budget in half...and almost 100% of the non super rich population would never feel the defference.
