Why McCain will lose

The republican party is controlled, dominated and dictated to by the ultra conservates of the party. McCain is in catch22 land. The problem is that noboby but the ultra conservatives care about Ultra conservative Issues right now. Take abortion for example: The marjority of republicans and almost all of the independents have always accepted it, but not having a clear bias. They votes republican inspite of their opposition and neutral believes around abortion. You have to take some bad to get good I.e. American politics syndrome. Basically, the sun does not rise and set on this issue.

However, the power heads of the republican party is idealogs when it comes to this issues.

What McCain needs to do is just say no.........not this time to this issue and appoint a moderate as vp.

But then he would lose the right and they have a ugly spiteful war machine just itching to pull the trigger on him.

Yet, there is no doubt that he should flip off the Ultra conservatives. He would possibility win by a land slide over Bama. But. Here is the catch 22. He would be at war with the conservatives which doom his ability to get anything done in office.

So, its a shame that a bunch old self fornicating old farts will doom us to four years of the equilivent of socialist democratcy. Something we might never recover from for decades.

Yet, the truth is: As long as McCain caters to those ultra conservatives pinheads he does not have a chance. Because. Us Moderate leaning republicans and conservative independents are sick of their wrinkle, no cracked old face and concrete post standing.
