What do we really want? In a prez.

I think the real question is: what do we really want in a president for this election. I know my views, but I want to take a more collective view from the broad spectrum of America, and for the benefit of America. We need:
1. A prez that can manage the on going battle with terrorist, solve the Iraq problem and to protect us from the nuts of Iran and Korea. We need a prez that can manage the growing threat of the old world communism of Russia, and manage ongoing saga of China washing our hands in lead toxins in one hand and openly mocking our civilization in the other.
2. A prez that can take steps to restore our image world wide as a Country that looks after the little guy in an even handed manner, and present us as a wiser nation.
3. A prez that will not tarnish the office anymore. No offense meant to any past presidents, but we live in a different word today and we can not afford to have president that takes on a closet mentality. From booze, women, cigarettes, drugs, to just simple out and out greed, one and all will not only hurt the office but the country. So, if our candidates have any nasty little habits; it is far better to get it out in the open now.
4. A prez that can, at the very least, put in perspective our financial struggles. Most importantly we do not need to be sugar coated in this area. We are at point in time where every collective decision our country makes has short term and long-term devastating possibilities. So, we do not need a president that will claim all is great when just under the surface we have boils waiting for the right chance to break out.
5. A prez that can restore a reasonable belief in the office and our form of government, and at the very least not to throw bricks from this broken wall. It is not surprising that the independent vote is becoming the largest voting block. Why is it, we have such a large middle class of disenfranchised voters that is running from both parties? It is not because of the candidates, whom are all honorable people. When it takes more money than anybody in our country has (maybe the world) to decide on which candidate will run; we need ask our self…well….. is this process really working?

I’ve left several issues out for brevity sake, but it does not make those issues any less important. A note from own personal view: We do not need a candidate with a catalog of personal mistakes. We do not need another rich guy prez. (The majority of Americans is middle class and will always be middle class). We do not need a scorned wife, or a wife running on her husband coattails. We do not need a militant young pup with more question marks than reason for change. Yes we need change but we also need purpose. Finally what we need is a safe candidate but less the establishment Party favorite type candidate. The good thing, both parties have those types of candidates that are still running for the office. The bad thing is that there is too much fog. I like Joe Biden, and I do think his days are in the past, but it is a shame he was not even able to shape a little of public policy this election. The guy is smart. Even more reason we need a third or fourth party. But that is a dog that will not hunt this time around. In addition, let’s look beyond the leader board, the press favorites because those candidates are already bought and are 100 percent the party lap dog.
So Today is a fact check day for our voters. What do we really want for a prez? What do we need?
Utopia is not rising with the sun today, and so should your idealistic vote.
We need not to be selfish in our vote this time around either by voting into office a one policy president.
Most importantly, Vote America first, and your special interest second.
