Omaha murders versus tv ratings

Just one more thing that proves that we need a third party. We all know it, Mass murders does not, should not be a sensational brow beating on the national news channels. We need laws in place and we have known this since the seventies, laws that prevent anything more than a mention on the tube about murderers and mass murders.

It should not be a ratings grab....sensationalized to sell the news stations....glamourized so it will happen again next week.....but it will, it does, and not one thought is given to the impact of such coverage, other than the ratings.

In fact, to the cable news stations, its like feeding the monster in hopes that it will bring bigger results next year.

You can bet your last dollar that the next mass murderer is watch the ferver and lip smacking announcers on cnn, fox, and msnbc as they goggle over the facts and details of the murders.

Its not a question of sensorship either, because these details can be covered in print.

If I had it my way the law would required the tube keep it to just one or two sentences and directions on where to find more information in print.

Yep we could and should take the business selling mass murder of the video market.
