How to prep the presidential candidate

To look at this we must go back for more than four years. First, we will look at the Democratic Party. The following explain why the obvious candidates seem to almost go on a four year campaign. Or, Decides on a different track altogether. Al Gore and Kerry both seem to just purposely disappear after the election for the latter and a respite to star in his own ecology movie. The republicans does it quite differently, but in the end, everybody running knows who been chosen by the party.

The democrats ran as usual three people for the election and all three are in tow by the party, not the opposite. You have the Rock star, up and coming star, and the establishment puppy dog.
The Rock star being of course, Hilary, this time around, because of her stature of being the first lady. Some say this has been in the works since the day Bill walked out of the white house. However, let’s just look over the last four years. An unbelievable effort as been used to repaint her as a moderate and an experienced politician with history beyond Bills finger prints. Even though she is and I mean this with out labels or meant to tarnish her, but she gives a bleeding heart liberal a bloody nose when it comes to who is on the left. 4 years ago they practically bragged about it on public TV. That is what you do to a movie star, you shape and reshape their image to fit the party line and gain as many votes as possible. Don't believe me try to do a search for whitewater, you know the land scandal in which she and the real president was involved in prior to his presidential office. Thank god for Wikipedia or history would have been changed, but even Wikipedia does not mention that Hilary work for the law firm at the time whitewater happen.
The up and coming star (Obama) is quite a different story for the democrats. It begins before the Keynote speech as in how it was done with Clinton (Bill). The party first begins with a person that is relatively unknown, and offers him the keynote speech and backing all the way to the presidential office. A fool would be well a fool for turning them down but they have to tow the party line. The Keynote brings them in to the spot light, and then the next four years you shape the candidate, his history, and keep his name in front of the public. Which explain the early announcement that he is running? It’s not to get ahead but to build a history so the public thinks he has experience, where only his handlers have the experience.

Finally, the puppy dog or lap dog, which the party supports but always keep him at arms length of the real power until he is absolutely need. Sort of fail safe candidate who is easily sold to the public and a solid party loyalist and easily controllable. He is the one that is like the old stand by. Straight forward, experienced and can be shaped into a real presidential candidate in a short period of time. In this election, there are several lap dogs.

The republicans on the other hand, although very similar in handler’s behavior, are slightly different. The one exception is that they love war heroes. You have the old guard to contend with more in the Democratic Party. Yet, would you not say that Giuliani, Romney are very similar in how they got there, and the just the whole feel to the election

The two underlining factors that add dynamics to the election is that they must tote the party line (which is quite similar these days) and Polls. They have to poll good if you don’t then they drop you like a rock. You don’t believe me ask McCain and Lieberman. Would it not be nice to see a third party candidate which is headed by the team of McCain/Lieberman? Both of these men are as powerful as or more powerful than the party, and I would assume it scares the crap out of the handlers.
