It was the democrats and the republicans that fashioned the last generations Illegal alien fix. Neither party wants a solution to the Illegal Alien problem. Why: my guess is it is financial. It is possible to make it completely unattractive to stay in america illegally. As it is possible to make it possible to have temp worker program. If I had ability to fashion the right solution: I guarantee that within a year, everybody would state that my solution is not only better but is at last; sane.
